Adult ADHD Assessment

Drawing from her extensive clinical experience, Dr Louise Hanson provides in-depth comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults who may be experiencing challenges in executive functioning, including attention and focus, task initiation and completion, planning and organisational abilities, working memory, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and hyperactivity.

Assessments for ADHD can be conducted in person in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast or through online face-to-face video consultations to individuals living anywhere in Australia.

Adults with ADHD often report experiencing:

Inattention: Difficulty focusing, organising, or remembering things. Becoming easily distracted.

Hyperactivity/Restlessness: Inner restlessness, excessive talking, difficulty relaxing.

Impulsivity: Acting without thinking, interrupting, impulsive decisions or purchases.

Emotional Dysregulation: Intense emotions, irritability, difficulty managing frustration.

Relationship Challenges: Misunderstandings, forgetfulness, impulsivity causing strain.

Poor Time Management: Chronic procrastination, lateness, trouble prioritising tasks.

Work/Career Struggles: Underachievement, difficulty with routines and deadlines.

Hyperfocus: Over-absorbed in tasks to the detriment of other responsibilities.

  • Once you decide to proceed with the assessment, you will be emailed intake forms to fill out and return.

  • During the first session, we will go through information you provided in the intake forms and obtain further information, as deemed appropriate.

  • During this session Dr Louise will use an internationally recognised procedure to assess for ADHD.

  • You will be provided with a comprehensive report of the assessment findings. Dr Louise will explain the findings and discuss next steps.

    Please note: a diagnosis of ADHD is not guaranteed if the criteria is not met.
